If any of your listed car(s) cross this boundary, ALL your auctions will be deleted without notice and your account placed on hold. When you try and login while your account is on hold you will find you are locked out. To remove this ban, please email us using our contact form from the contact us page stating the car(s) you posted to create this ban and that you will not post such items any more. Please do not email us asking us what you did wrong, a simple apology will re-open your account almost immediately whereas a long winded email conversation will waste ours and your time.

If you state you will refrain from posting stolen cars and are caught a second time, the same will happen.

If you are caught a third time your account will be locked on a permanent basis. It is up to you to read the posting rules and abide by them, users are told about the posting rules when they start an auction. "I didn't realize" won't be a valid excuse!

Continuous negative points will also see your account placed on hold. Always make sure your first pioints is positive otherwise your account could be investigated.

To rate a user in who you are involve in a transaction, you can do so by going to the ‘rate the user’ link after you win the auction. Sellers and buyers can leave a point for each other based on their satisfaction of the transaction. You can only rate a seller if you won a bid, and the seller can also rate the buyer in return.  The points system starts from -5 to +5, so a user can end up with a negative point.

Online Security - How do I know that an email is really from Bid4mycar?
The biggest form of online auction fraud is when a seller takes payment and then fails to deliver the promised item or the item is delivered but does not match the item description registration page and enter your details.

Card information?

The buyer or seller is convinced by the counterparty that they, the counterparty, can be trusted - This is how 100% of all online auction Frauds or Scams operate

Securing Your Account and Reporting Account Theft?
In our experience, anyone that you have not dealt with before or who does not have a significant amount of positive points has the potential to be a fraudster.

Why do they do it?
In all walks of life we have a certain element of the community that given the opportunity, will take advantage of other more trusting members. An online auction gives this type of individual the opportunity to pretend to be someone he or she is not because you cannot see them

Most common online auction Fraud scams and ways to spot them
  • Wire Transfers overseas (especially Western Union) - seller insists that you pay by wire transfer and your payment is safe because money will not be released without a password or ID code. This is not true! If they insist on a wire transfer it is almost certainly a Scam!
  • Will only provide you with a mobile, pager or voice messaging system.
  • Landline number is always engaged or 'please leave a message'.
  • Hotmail account or another third-party email address.
  • High priced auctioned item from a member with zero feedback.
  • Offers to complete the sale before the auction has finished - contact telephone number or email in the text of the auction.
  • Makes an excuse why they cannot use the Pay pal cash, and bank draft Payment facilities, becuase they don’t want to the payment to be traced to them

How can I stop this happening to me?
The best ways to be sure about your transaction are:
  • Use only Pay pal or debit or credit card payment methods for all Payments. Only pay by cash if you are sure you will not be putting yourself in any danger.
  • Pick up and pay for the goods in person.
